Who is Danny Jones’ wife, Georgia Horsley?
Georgia Horsley first rose to fame when she won the title of Miss England in 2007. Representing her country at Miss World, she made it to the top 18 in the Miss World Talent competition. Reflecting on her pageant experience, she once shared with the Yorkshire Post:
I have never regretted entering Miss England, in fact I think it was one of the best things I have ever done.
However, Georgia's story is about more than just beauty pageants. As noted by The Sun, she suffered from meningitis as a child, which left her deaf in one ear. As she started growing famous in her life, Georgia embraced her platform to raise awareness and support the deaf community.
Beyond the spotlight, Georgia has built a career as a podcast host and influencer, sharing insights on motherhood and family life. But before settling down with Danny, she had a few unexpected thoughts about him.
How Danny Jones won over Georgia Horsley
Their love story didn’t exactly begin as a fairytale romance—at least, not for Georgia. As Daily Mail reported, she and Danny first crossed paths at an event in 2008, but Georgia wasn’t immediately impressed.
Speaking on the Never Have I Ever podcast, she revealed that when Danny asked her out, he told her that he has ‘two other dates lined up’ which didn’t go well with Georgia. She instantly didn’t like him.
Recalling how she assumed Danny to be a typical musician, she said:
I said he's probably going to be a bit of a top sh**ger, isn't he? I just assumed. I treated him mean, kept him keen - without realising.
When Danny initially asked her out, she said yes only to turn him down later. During his I’m A Celeb stint, he recalled:
It took me a year to get her because I invited her out for a roast. It was just like clubbing, we couldn't talk.
I was like "do you wanna go to the pub tomorrow?" and she was like "Yeah". I text her in the morning and she was like "Sorry, I can't make it".
And then weeks went on and she didn't make it, couldn't make it, turning me down. And I gave up in the end.
Danny, however, was nothing if not determined. He spent nearly a year trying to win Georgia over, despite her politely (and repeatedly) turning him down. He continued:
Then about eleven months later she text me saying "Do you wanna go out for a drink or get breakfast?" and I was like "Yes!”
Their first date took place at a waffle house in St. Albans, and from that point on, things escalated quickly. In 2013, Danny proposed during a romantic getaway to Cyprus. While speaking to Digital Spy, he said the event was like 'an MI5 mission' just to sneak the engagement ring abroad. The couple tied the knot the following summer in Georgia’s hometown of Malton, Yorkshire, with Ellie Goulding performing at their wedding, as reported by Mirror.
Their family life and parenthood
Danny and Georgia welcomed their son, Cooper, in January 2018. Becoming parents was a joyful milestone, but it wasn’t without its challenges. Georgia previously opened up on the Made by Mammas podcast about the struggles they faced after Cooper’s birth, saying:
I'd given birth five days before and he had to go back to work, so I was left home alone. We've always said that - as long as we've been together, we've always enjoyed our separate times because when we've reunited it's even nicer.
Communication is key, as well. It's something we had to relearn after having a baby - it's just constant resentment at the other partner for not doing enough, even though they are.
Their relationship has since evolved, with the couple making a conscious effort to balance work and family life. Danny even brought Cooper into The Voice Kids studio, where the little one got to press the judge’s button.
