Now, after eight years of marriage and two children together, it appears the couple has once again hit a rough patch, with reports confirming their split. But is this truly the end, or just another bump in their rollercoaster romance?

Dan Osborne and Jacqueline Jossa confirm their split

After years of ups and downs, EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa and former TOWIE star Dan Osborne have reportedly split. The couple, who tied the knot in 2017, share two daughters and had long been in the spotlight for their turbulent relationship.

A statement from Jossa’s representatives, published in The Sun, confirmed the separation:

Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately, choosing to keep their lives and relationship out of the public eye.
They kindly ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this together. Their children remain their top priority, surrounded by love and care from both parents — something that will never change.
Above all, Jacqueline and Dan have each other’s and their children’s best interests at heart. There will be no further comment.

Sources close to the couple have revealed that the two are now living separately. While Jacqueline remains in their £2 million Essex home, Dan has moved out and is staying nearby. A source said, as per The Independent:

Jacqueline and Dan are on a break and are spending time apart from each other. It’s not been easy for them lately and they have made this difficult decision.
Neither of them knows what is going to happen in the future, but for now they’ve decided living apart and taking a break from each other is what they need.

The source went on to share that the two are ‘amicably’ working things out and still figuring out their future.

Jacqueline and Dan are already living separate lives

Following the news of their split, both Jacqueline and Dan seem to be adjusting to their new routines apart. The Daily Mail highlighted how their weekends were spent separately—Jacqueline had a fun-filled girls’ night with her daughters, while Dan hit the gym with his son, Teddy, from a previous relationship.

Despite past cheating rumours that plagued their relationship, insiders insist that there is nothing scandalous about their recent split. They said, as per The Sun:

Jacqueline and Dan are working things out amicably and have not made a concrete decision on the future of their relationship
Jac and Dan have been rocked by their fair share of scandals but this situation could not be further from that

With the couple's relationship in the spotlight, let's take a look at how their relationship has evolved over the years.

Inside their relationship: A timeline of highs and lows

Dan and Jacqueline first met at an awards ceremony in 2013. Their romance quickly blossomed, and by February 2015, they had welcomed their first daughter, Ella. Dan proposed that same year during a holiday in Greece. She explained:

We were in Greece and there was this big sail boat moored. Dan went, 'Oh, look at that boat, it's actually moving today.'
It started turning and as it turned, on the side of the boat it said: 'Will you marry me?' I turned around and Daniel was on his knee and I was like, it's me, it's me! I forgot to say yes, I was just like [gasps].

By 2017, they were married in a lavish ceremony at a Cheshire manor house. Their second daughter, Mia, was born in June 2018, completing their family.

However, their marriage was not without difficulties. Rumours of Dan’s alleged infidelities frequently made headlines, although he often denied them. Dan was linked to Gabby Allen after they were seen together on a yacht in Marbella; Chloe Ayling, who alleged that she and Dan had a fling alongside Natalie Nunn; and Alexandra Cane, who was rumoured to have shared a kiss with him in a nightclub.

In 2020, Jacqueline moved out briefly during the lockdown period, stating:

I need some time. There is no split. No divorce. We are working together not against each other.

Dan later acknowledged he had ‘made mistakes’ but assured fans that he was committed to his family. OK! Magazine reported that after Jacqueline’s win on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2019, Dan publicly apologised, saying:

So after weeks, months and years of constant articles & rumours, some true, some very untrue I want to publicly say I know I have made mistakes. We all do as humans, but I've made some that have almost cost me my family.

Despite moments of reconciliation, recent events suggest that the couple’s struggles ultimately took a toll. Last year, speculation about their relationship intensified when Dan was notably absent from family holiday photos. More recently, Jacqueline sold their ‘dream home’ at £1.5M, further raising eyebrows about the state of their marriage.

Despite selling their home, the couple previously insisted that this decision did not mean they were splitting up. A source said:

Jacqueline and Dan are both shocked, hurt and upset about the rumours of a split. Yes, it's true they are selling their house, but that doesn't mean they're not together
