What made the revelation even more interesting was that the couple had kept their split a secret for a year before making it public. Currently participating in ITV’s I’m a Celeb, Jane has embraced the spirit of adventure while her personal life continues to intrigue her fans.
Jane Moore’s split from husband Gary Farrow: Everything we know
Jane revealed that her separation from Gary wasn’t a sudden decision but a carefully considered choice they started processing in 2021. The couple decided to part ways amicably, reports Mirror. They even described each other as ‘best friends’ even after the split.
Speaking about the separation on Loose Women, Jane said:
It's weird that it's out there [in public] because we've been processing it for about a year. So we're both quite private people. We had discussed it last year... It was going to happen last year.
The couple chose to delay the news because Gary fell and suffered a serious leg injury. Jane added:
And then he fell and broke his leg and, no, I didn't push him. Just want to put that out there. He fell and broke his leg. And obviously, then all bets are off.
After falling and breaking his leg, Gary needed extensive care. According to Hello!, Jane stepped in to help him recover and put their separation plans on hold. While family members and close friends were informed, the pair continued living together and maintained an outward appearance of normalcy.
Jane explained that caring for Gary allowed them to transition their relationship from marriage into a close friendship gradually. She said:
I would hope he would say I'm his best friend. And I'm keen that we don't lose that element. I have been sort of caring for him in that sense of the word. It's enabled us to sort of segue to process it first of all, and to sort of segue nicely into a really good friendship.
A look back at their relationship and family
Jane and Gary’s story began with a glamorous wedding in 2002 at London’s Claridge’s Hotel. The ceremony boasted an A-list guest list, with Elton John as the best man and appearances by Barbara Windsor and Jonathan Ross, reports the Mirror.
Over the years, they built a loving blended family, raising three daughters—Ellie and Grace from Jane’s previous relationship and Gary’s daughter Lauren.
Their marriage started on a funny note as Jane revealed Gary was arrested hours before their wedding for refusing the leave the hotel during a fire alarm.
However, as years evolved the two realised they had grown apart and decided to amicably part ways while still co-parenting their kids. They decided to live close to one another after separation so they could take care of each other and their kids.
