Their relationship is under constant scrutiny, and rumours of a rift between the couple have been going around for years. Despite the whispers, the couple have stood by each other's side.
The the center of the most recent buzz around the couple is Melania's wedding dress. it has been reported that is on sale, but is this true?
eBay seller claims they have got Melania Trump's wedding dress
Donald and Melania Trump's wedding took place at the businessman-turned-politician's mansion of Mar-a-Lago, Florida, in January 2005. The former model caught all eyes with a strapless wedding dress designed by John Galliano for Dior.
Now, an eBay seller by the username of 'svjabc1' claims to be selling the $187k dress, with bids already going up to $45k. The seller claims she bought the dress for $70k to wear during her own wedding in 2010. She writes:
This dress had more than 500 hours worth of hand-sewn crystal beading Swarovski crystals were used with a 13-foot train.
The garment had to be authenticated by an international group of experts, but they concluded it was impossible to tell if it was the real thing. According to the website's chief communications officer Gigi Ganatra:
Unfortunately, this item doesn’t fit within these categories. However, eBay does offer a money back guarantee which would apply to this item [should the item not arrive, be faulty, damaged, or not match the listing].
Source claims the dress is at Mar-a-Lago
However, a source told WWD that the wedding dress is tucked away safely at the couple's Mar-a-Lago mansion, so it could not be the same dress. There is one other possibility. Indeed, a similar-looking dress was featured on the Dior haute couture runway in 2005, so it is possible the seller did not know the difference.
The eBay seller posted pictures of Donald and Melania Trump's lavish $400k wedding along with the ad, claiming it was the actual wedding dress.
Neither the President nor his wife have responded to the rumours yet.
