Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd left audiences stunned (himself included!) as he was crowned the champion of Celebrity Big Brother. Danny Beard finished as runner-up and JoJo Siwa secured third place amongst all the contestants.

What Jack P Shepherd said after his win and fans' hilarious reactions?
After being announced as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother, Jack P Shepherd looked completely stunned. In his first exclusive interview with AJ Odudu and Will Best, he confessed:
I can’t believe it, I am blown away, I didn’t expect it tonight.
Jack added:
I figured that I might annoy a few people and they might not know how to work me out but I guess I was liked by the end.
Interestingly, Jack admitted he had JoJo Siwa 'nailed' as the winner, saying:
I mean, what is there? Six in the final? I thought I was a shoe-in for maybe fifth, honestly, and then as people were just disappearing, I thought, surely not.
Fans wasted no time in taking to social media, with many joking that all Jack did was drink tea – and they loved him for it. As quoted by Daily Mail, reactions included:

Another fan quipped:

However, not everyone was convinced, with a few expressing disbelief, writing:

Despite mixed opinions, one thing is clear – Jack's genuine and unbothered persona resonated with a large part of the British public.
With fans still buzzing over his win, another question loomed: Will Jack return to Coronation Street or move on to new adventures?
Is jack returning to Coronation Street after his big win?
With Jack’s victory raising his public profile, many wondered if this meant the end of his Coronation Street days.
Fans of the soap can breathe a sigh of relief, as Jack himself has made his intentions crystal clear. Speaking on the On The Sofa podcast with his co-stars Colson Smith and Ben Price before he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house, he said:
I think I'll stay [for another 25 years].
If we are still being used, the Platt's are still being used and we are still getting good stories and I like the same people.
Jack’s dedication to Coronation Street remains unwavering. When asked whether he ever thinks about life outside the soap, Jack responded assertively:
No. I don't think so. Today is Wednesday and I don't even think about Thursday. I'm just focused on today.
The star, who recently marked 25 years playing David Platt, is also focusing on another life milestone — his wedding to long-time love Hanni Treweek.
Jack P Shepherd's love story
The pair met on the set of Coronation Street when Hanni worked as a storyline writer and researcher. Although they knew each other casually at first, sparks flew at a mutual friend's wedding in 2017. As Jack recounted to Daily Star:
We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it.
Fast forward to June 2024, Jack proposed during a romantic safari holiday in Tanzania. Hanni shared the joyful news on Instagram, writing:
05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!
The couple have since confirmed that their wedding is scheduled for July 2025.
During Jack’s time in the Celebrity Big Brother house, Hanni expressed her support, appearing on ITV’s Lorraine and saying:
It's already out there that we're getting married in July so we've got plenty to look forward to - WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!
She also said:
He's doing such a great job in the house and I'm so proud of him
She noted that Jack was 'coming out of his shell' as the days went by. She added:
Ultimately, he's in there to have a good time, to have fun, and to make sure we're all laughing, which we all seem to be doing.
Hanni has stood by Jack through thick and thin, even when past controversies have come back to haunt him.
His past relationships
Jack shares two children with ex-girlfriend Lauren Shippey, whom he dated from around 2002. Their relationship was rocked in 2010 when Jack fathered a child with Sammy Milewski after an alleged affair. Despite this, Jack and Lauren reconciled and welcomed a second child together before ultimately splitting for good in 2017.
As reported by Metro, Jack pays child support for his son, Greyson, with Sammy but, according to Sammy, he has never met him. Speaking to The Mirror, Sammy said:
His father has not been in his life. I don’t know why because we don’t speak but I imagine it’s that he’s not wanted to.
Hanni has defended Jack against criticism, responding on Instagram:
Everyone has a past, it’s important not to judge a book by its cover.
Indeed, despite past controversies, Jack and Hanni's relationship appears stronger than ever. Sources revealed to The Sun that Jack's appearance on Celebrity Big Brother was partly motivated by the desire to help fund their lavish wedding:
Jack and Hanni are pulling out all the stops for their big day. They are incredibly in love and want their day to really represent them as they celebrate with friends and family.
