JD Vance is Donald Trump’s running mate and if the former President wins the election, he will likely be chosen as Vice President. Part of Vance’s job as running mate is to help Trump win the election and on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, he had to prove himself in the ultimate test.

Indeed, he engaged in a debate with his opponent, Tim Walz, who is Kamala Harris’s running mate, on CBS News in New York. However, during the debate, the internet was more focused on Vance’s looks than his party’s ideas. Moreover, a certain Google search exploded during the interview and it has to do with makeup.

JD Vance captured the internet with his eyes

As per Daily Mail, social media erupted during the VP debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz, who earns a substantial amount as Governor of Minnesota, due to the former’s ‘pretty eyes’. Many social media users seemed entranced by Trump’s running mate’s eyes, even those who said they wouldn’t vote for him.

One user wrote she was ‘entranced by his icy blue eyes’ while also clarifying she wasn’t voting for the Republic Party. Another user wrote:

Vance’s stark blue eyes have led people to wonder whether or not the Ohio Senator wears eyeliner. Roosevelt Institute director Elizabeth Panciotti shared a graph that showed Google searches for eyeliner rose during the VP debate.

One X user shared a humorous image comparing JD Vance to Miley Cyrus in the 2000s with heavy eyeliner.

Moreover, Donald Trump, whom Vance had once called 'an idiot', has previously praised Vance for his ‘beautiful’ eyes and his ‘long eyelashes’, as reported by Daily Beast. He has also compared him to Abraham Lincoln:

But does JD Vance wear eyeliner? Two people have responded to these speculations.

As mentioned above, many on the internet believe that JD Vance wears eyeliner due to his piercing blue eyes, and long lashes. Since the speculations, two people have come out and said that Trump’s running mate doesn’t wear eyeliner.

The first is former Congressman George Santos, who, as per Daily Mail said:

Vance does NOT use eye liner. I've met him in person before he was a senator and I can confirm he has long eyelashes and they cast a shadow on his waterline when is studios full of lights… Grow up people!

The other is JD Vance’s wife, Usha, whom Vance has described as his 'spirit guide'. According to Daily Beast, Vance’s wife wrote in a statement that her husband’s eyes are ‘all natural’ and she has ‘always been jealous’ of Vance’s lashes.
