The curious case of Jeffrey Epstein continues to unfold 5 years after the trafficker’s death inside New York’s Metropolitan Correctional Center.

His mysterious death came while he was awaiting trial. He was found with a noose made out of bedsheets. Now a new photo from the socialite’s autopsy has been brought to light by his brother during an interview with SiriusXM’s Meghan Kelly which raises questions about the demise of Jeffrey Epstein.

The inconsistent circumstances surrounding the death of Jeffrey Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein’s social circle included some of the most powerful people on the planet, his private jet logs included names like Bill Clinton, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, and Prince Andrew among others. Given the allegations brought against him, anyone associated with him, his jet and his private island can easily be dragged into an international investigation. As such, many people stood to lose quite a lot if they were linked to this case so the public was quick to question the convenient timing and nature of his demise - which officials ruled a suicide despite the mysterious circumstances.

Even then-president Donald Trump retweeted a conspiracy theory tying Bill Clinton - who flew on Epstein’s 'Lolita Express' - to the ‘apparent’ suicide.

An investigation uncovered that multiple staff members failed to check in on the billionaire during the period leading up to his death. Rules indicate that a check-in was supposed to be conducted every 30 minutes. Furthermore, MCC staff failed to assign him a cellmate, leaving him with access to the extra sheets he used to commit suicide. Two employees were found to have falsified records, they filled false count documents to show that they had performed the counts according to the rules when they were, in fact, not completed. The video camera surveillance system was also found to be non-functional. The combination of all of these ‘mistakes’ exponentially raised suspicions of foul play. However, the investigation concludes that a ‘combination of negligence, misconduct, and outright job performance failures all contributed to an environment where one of the BOP’s most notorious inmates was provided with the opportunity to take his own life’.

Epstein’s brother reveals new details about his death

5 years after the controversial death of his brother, Mark Epstein spoke to Megan Kelly about his doubts concerning the official story. Mark provided a photo of his brother's body showing the injuries he sustained from asphyxiation. A private pathologist indicated that the presence of a broken bone in the neck is highly irregular in suicide and suggests this was actually a homicide. Moreover, The official medical examiner reported that Epstein strangled himself in a seated position with his legs positioned in front of him. Since he spent a couple of hours in that position before he was found, his legs should have shown discolouration due to lividity but that was not the case in the photo, further casting doubt on the official story.

These details were not enough to warrant another medical investigation by the office of New York’s Medical Examiner which ruled in 2019 that it was suicide and stood by this determination.
