As the show ages like fine wine, many inner details come out with every interview of the cast. Recently, Matthew Perry, who plays Chandler, opened up about his substance abuse issues and rehab, which he experienced over the course of the show.
Perry also revealed that he had a massive crush on one of the leading ladies - Jennifer Aniston.
Matthew Perry’s crush
Perry was recently discussing his upcoming memoir titled Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing in an interview with Diane Sawyer. And while discussing different areas of his life, he spoke about his love life. And the Seventeen Again actor admits to have asked out Aniston out during their pre-Friends days. He claimed to have been ‘immediately taken by her’ and got a feeling that she was intrigued too. And he wanted to be more than just friends with Aniston.
Jennifer Aniston’s reaction to the crush
Aniston, unfortunately, didn’t feel the same way about Perry. And so she rejected him and said that she would rather be friends with him. The two co-starred in Friends soon afterwards. As per Entertainment Desk, Perry in hindsight felt like he came on too strong. While was disheartened by her rejection, he soon realized it was a bad idea to have asked her out.

Perry also revealed that he had a crush on each of his co-stars (Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, and Lisa Kudrow) at different points in time during the show. As per Entertainment Weekly, he said:
It made it kind of difficult to go to work, because I had to pretend that I didn't.
