Despite what happened, Jeremy Clarkson continued to have a successful career thanks to Amazon Prime. Over the years, Jeremy Clarkson has managed to build a massive net worth through TV appearances and his car collection, but one of his projects has failed to bring him a big cash flow. How much is the car enthusiast worth and how has he earned his fortune?
How much is Jeremy Clarkson’s net worth?
According to Express, Jeremy Clarkson’s net worth is estimated to be around £55 million. Before joining BBC’s Top Gear in 1988, Clarkson was a motoring journalist at the Rotherham Advertiser.
Whilst hosting Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson was one of the highest-paid hosts on the BBC at the time. Unfortunately, Clarkson’s career with the BBC ended in 2015 after he allegedly punched a producer.
This incident didn’t halt Clarkson’s TV career as he then went on to host Who Wants to be a Millionaire? on ITV. The car enthusiast then sold his 50% share of the production company Bedder 6, which held the rights to Top Gear.
Jeremy joined Amazon Prime, where he negotiated a £160 million deal to produce The Grand Tour, which has 36 episodes. It is said that Clarkson earns £10 million annually from his involvement in the show.
Jeremy Clarkson unsurprisingly has a classic car collection, which includes a Ferrari, Mercedes, Lamborghini and McLaren. According to Express, his car collection is estimated to be worth around £500,000.
Jeremy Clarkson has his own farm
In a surprising move, given his successful TV career, Jeremy Clarkson bought a farm in 2008. Clarkson’s farm, which he called Diddly Squat Farm was proving more difficult to make a profit than Jeremy had anticipated.
As per Express, Clarkson’s farm only profited £114 in his first year. However, despite the very little profit, he kept the farm and signed another deal with Amazon Prime to produce a show about what he does on his farm. The show is called Clarkson’s Farm.
Clarkson runs the farm with the help of Kaleb Cooper, who has previously called Jeremy a ‘f*****g idiot’ after several incidents, which include Jeremy crashing his Lamborgini tractor into a ditch.
