In January 2023, rumours of a ‘massive reunion tour’ of S Club, formerly known as S Club 7, came to light. Months into the year, the band tragically lost their beloved band member Paul Cattermole soon after they announced their reunion tour for their 25th anniversary. After Paul Cattermole’s death, Hannah Spearritt decided to quit the group's reunion tour and move to Costa Rica.

The other group members continued on their planned The Good Times reunion tour and recently showcased their talent on stage in Brighton on Sunday (August 4 ) as part of the fundraiser Fabuloso. What surprised fans more was Jo O'Meara’s incredible weight loss transformation.
S Club 7’s Jo O'Meara’s weight loss transformation and her lifestyle changes
Jo appeared alongside her bandmates Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Tina Barrett and Jon Lee. The band wore matching rainbow-coloured outfits and ensured to stand out with face jewels and face glitter. While everyone looked fabulous on stage, Jo, in particular, stole the show with her slimmed-down frame.
The 44-year-old singer had in the past few years completely overhauled her lifestyle including quitting drinking and smoking. She wore a mini rainbow-coloured dress with fishnet stockings and navy trainers. The star looked much happier and healthier than before, reports Daily Mail.
In November 2023, Jo shared a series of before and after images of herself that highlighted her changing appearance over the years. She took to her Instagram and wrote:
Sometimes in life you just need guidance. I see these old pics now and see such sadness. If you surround yourself with good people who want to see you win ... you can achieve anything!
I am so proud of the woman I have become today, mentally strong and physically fit and healthy. It took me a long time to get to this point but having people around me who truly care was the key to it all!
This comes after Jo previously revealed that she lost two stones during the pandemic. The weight loss came as a result of changes in her lifestyle and diet. Reportedly, she shared that she had stopped eating pasta, bread and cheese ‘all the time.’
In 2021, Jo told Closer Magazine:
I feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin, and I have a much more positive outlook, so I feel really lucky and happy.
Her other lifestyle changes included quitting carbs, taking up body pump classes, trampolining and local walks with her son Lenny.
Jo O’Meara struggles with her bad back
While the singer has been taking good care of her body, she has also struggled with her health in the past—most specifically with her back.
In late 2022, Jo experienced the excruciating pain in her back that she aptly called the - ‘worst pain’ of her life on Instagram. The singer had troubles with her back throughout her career due to four bulging discs and sciatica.
According to Yahoo!, Jo underwent surgery to treat her back. The pain attacks and her bad back eventually meant that the star couldn’t return to the stage for a long time. She told The Sun that she was left with permanent damage in her right leg that would require months of physio to recover. Seeing her on S Club’s reunion tour enjoying being back on stage hints that her lifestyle and dietary changes may have helped her get back to doing what she loves the most.
