President Biden has gotten his latest physical examination at Walter Reed National Military Center. According to the White House this thorough medical examination called upon the feedback of 20 specialised doctors, however, a cognitive test was not included in the long list of exams Biden went through in the three hours he spent at the hospital. Biden, 81, is expected to seek to run for a second term and is running largely incontested on democratic ballots. An increasing number of Americans have lost confidence in President Biden’s cognitive health and ability to lead; he is currently the oldest President of all time and some voters began to cast 'Uncommitted' votes in protest to the upcoming election.

Why did President Biden not receive a cognitive test?
After concluding the plethora of examinations that found the US president healthy and able to lead, a cognitive test was deemed unnecessary. Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre spoke to the press about the reason behind the lack of a cognitive exam:
He passes a cognitive test every day, every day as he moves from one topic to another topic, understanding the granular level of these topics.
His doctors, including the neurologist, do not believe that he needs one. That is their assessment
This is a very rigorous job, and the president has been able to do this job every day for the past three years.
The primary reason why people have become concerned with Biden’s cognitive ability after the president mishandled classified documents and a report Special Council Robert Hur called Biden an ‘old man’ and described his memory as 'hazy, fuzzy, faulty, poor' and having 'significant limitations'.
The White House vehemently argued against this characterization of the president in a letter, it argued:
[The president’s] inability to recall dates or details of events that happened years ago is neither surprising nor unusual.
We do not believe that the report’s treatment of President Biden’s memory is accurate or appropriate, the report uses highly prejudicial language to describe a commonplace occurrence among witnesses: a lack of recall of years-old events. Such comments have no place in a Department of Justice report.
Recent polls have shown that trust in Biden’s cognitive abilities is eroding as many Americans have growing doubts about a second term in the Oval Office for the President who would finish at 86 years of age. Moreover, Biden’s occasional slurred speech and sometimes outward mistakes while conversing paired with body language and physicality make his age quite apparent and palpable.
