John Travolta’s relationship with Kelly Preston
John Travolta met Kelly Preston in 1987 on the set of The Experts. According to both actors, they immediately hit it off and had an ‘immediate chemistry.’ Kelly Preston was married to Kevin Gage when she and Travolta met, but they divorced in 1987.
In 1990, Travolta and Preston got engaged and then married a year later. The pair went on to have three children, Jett in 1992, Ella in 2000 and Benjamin in 2010. However, Travolta experienced his first tragic loss when his eldest son Jett died at the age of 16 in 2009 from a seizure, while the family was on holiday in the Bahamas.
Then, in 2020, the Saturday Night Fever star lost his wife to cancer.

John Travolta’s life as a widow
A source told Radar that Travolta has been a ‘broken man’ since losing Kelly Preston to cancer in 2020. It is said that the actor has vowed to remain single. The source goes on to say that Travolta won’t even ‘look’ at other women despite his friends trying to get him to date:
John still considers himself married and says he will stay loyal to Kelly until the day he dies.
Kelly Preston had a two-year battle with breast cancer, and even three years on, John Travolta is struggling in his grief. According to the source:
He talks about Kelly constantly. Their lives were so intertwined, it's very hard for him to go on.
It is reported that Travolta sees dating again as a ‘betrayal of Kelly's memory.’ Finally, the source believes that the couple's children are a tremendous help to Travolta and help him to keep going:
