Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard
After the jury ruled the decision in the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s favour, Heard was asked to pay him $15 million dollars in the form of damages. However, he will not be receiving the full amount as the jury also found that some part of Heard’s claims were also justified, which is why they awarded her $2 million- Depp will therefore be paid 13 million.
A great day for the actor! But while Depp is probably still celebrating his victory over his ex-wife, The Sun has already reported about the next allegations of physical violence againstDepp.
Will Depp be sued again?
Variety reported that in 2018, a film crew member, Gregg "Rocky" Brooks, sued the actor, citing an incident on the film set of City of Lies; the film that was shot in Los Angeles in 2017. According to The Sun, the crew member said that a scene didn't work out and had to be repeated. Brooks mentioned this first to the director and then to Depp, whereupon the latter allegedly reacted aggressively. He, then, allegedly attacked the employee and shouted, ‘Who the hell are you? You have no right to tell me what to do’. According to Brooks, he did not react when Depp punchedhim in the ribs. Depp then allegedly shouted:
I'll give you $100,000 if you punch me in the face right now.
As per the 2018 article by The SunBrooks filed a lawsuit against Depp in Los Angeles County Superior Court and accused him of 'inflicting emotional distress' whilst filming the movie. In response to the complaint, Depp's violent outburst is said to have been self-defence, The Sun adds.
Most recently, Brook’s lawyer also commented to the British magazine about the infamous Depp vs Heard trial. He said:
Although we respect the jury's decision, it has no relevance to Mr Brooks' case. Brooks' case is not about two Hollywood stars who were in a toxic relationship. It is about the assault of a hard-working member of the film crew by the star of the production. Mr Brooks is looking forward to his day in court.
