JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes reunite after Celebrity Big Brother
They will certainly remember their time on Celebrity Big Brother for a long time. JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes found true friendship in the house, as they were always seen together.
Now that the show is over, with Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd emerging as winner, the 21-year-old singer and the 32-year-old TV personality seem to remain close. Indeed, Chris Hughes shared a picture of them together along with a group of friends, as they spent the weekend together, right after leaving the house. The pair spent the weekend at a tennis club, where they had dinner with a few friends. The picture shows them sitting side-by-side, looking all smiles for the camera.
The Love Island star already hinted he would be spending the Sunday after leaving the show with his new friend, and he owed her a massage to make up for the numerous ones she gave him for the past few weeks. He told Celebrity Big Brother host Will Best:
I owe her an IT band massage, I promised everyday and I think I might have said more, but you'll get it. She's going to get it Sunday.
The singer's former partner opens up about their break-up
JoJo Siwa probably needed this weekend among friends as it was revealed she split from her partner Kath Ebbs only hours after leaving the show. The Australian content creator opened up on her Instagram account, giving a detailed description of what happened. The split seems to have happened during the show's wrap party. In an emotional video, she said:
Before I could even get back to the hotel I… it’s actually crazy… I went to the afterparty with my now ex and was dumped in the party. I was told there were confused feelings there and they had realised in the house I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend the foreseeable with.
The 21-year-old's close friendship with Chris Hughes caused raised eyebrows among watchers. Indeed, many Internet users commented they believed the two were in a relationship. However, both the singer and Hughs have maintained that they are friends.
Chris Hughes and Jojo Siwa: Friends or more?
Appearing on the This Morning show, the friendship duo clarified once again that they are just friends and have a 'really strong bond'. Hughes explained:
Our friendship is hard to explain, it’s a really strong bond between two people which is just a strong friendship. I think you can have a soulmate friendship, it’s that energy where it’s not the standard friendship you have with your friends but it’s still a friendship.
When asked by Ben Shephard if JoJo Siwa could see their friendship evolving into something else, she said:
He’s a great guy, it is platonic, we had a lot of fun together. Life is life and I don’t know any future of anything. I’m really grateful for our bond that we have and whatever life does, life will do.
