Ye, as Kanye is known these days, has made his sentiments about Adolf Hitler and Nazis perfectly clear in the recent past. Due to this, big brands such as Adidas and Balenciaga cut ties with him, and he lost his billionaire status in the blink of an eye.
But his unsavory appeal toward Nazis seems like an obsession. It is rumored that West wanted to name his 2018 album ‘Hitler’, before opting for a safer name - Ye.
Recently, West’s former employees and collaborators have come forward and spoken up about the 'Gold Digger' singer’s anti-semitic comments in the workplace.
Kanye’s anti-semitic comments at work
West allegedly paid a settlement to an ex-employee who is rumored to have heard the rapper praise Hitler and the Nazis. Kanye allegedly praised the Nazi dictator quite often in meetings.
As per Sky News, six people who have worked with Ye in the past five years have claimed to have heard the rapper praise Hitler and mention conspiracy theories about Jews. Some of the racial slurs even date back to 2018.
Settlements that Kanye made
Three of Ye’s employees were asked to sign NDAs regularly, as the rapper frequently uttered anti-semitic comments.
Ryder Ripps, a conceptual artist who is also Jewish recalled multiple incidents whereby Ye spoke highly of Hitler. Ripps allegedly brushed West’s comments aside under the pretext that they were harmless. But, after the recent allegations against Ye, Ripps has now realized that Ye’s attitude was 'dangerous and disgusting and actually violent'.
As per Forbes, Ripps said:
With this pattern that's happening and with the doubling and tripling down of all this, it's pretty obvious that this is some kind of disgusting, hate-filled, strange Nazi obsession.
