Recently, stand-up comedian D.L. Hughley had a lot to say about West and his current controversies. Here’s what he said.
D.L. Hughley’s take on Kanye
Hughley condemned Ye’s behavior and voiced displeasure in the course that the rapper has chosen to take. He expressed that West’s words undermine the deaths of people who have died by the hands of white supremacy. He also feels like West’s erratic actions aren’t normal, and the only thing standing in the way of West being in conservatorship is his gender.
D.L. Hughley’s comparison of Kanye to Britney
As per the Independent, Hughley has spoken out against West’s recent behavior, arguing that if the musician ‘was a female’, he wouldn’t have access to his resources. He said:
If Kanye was a female, if he had a vagina, he would already be in a conservatorship. Ask Wendy Williams or Britney Spears, and they didn’t do half the erratic things he did.
When asked if he thought West ‘should be in a conservatorship’, Hughley clarified saying ‘that’s not up to me’.
