The singer tragically fell to his death in a hotel in Argentina, leading to a full-on investigation by Argentinian police, which is still ongoing. The American influencer appeared on Lorraine Kelly's eponymous show to talk about her grief. Find out everything you need to know below.

Kate Cassidy joins Lorraine's March4March campaign

The 25-year-old influencer from New Jersey, USA, appeared on Lorraine Kelly's show as part of the presenter's March4March campaign, which aims at breaking taboo around mental health. Kate Cassidy explained she felt drawn to the campaign as it contains the number 4, which she considers as her and Liam Payne's angel number, a symbol of protection. She said:

That's the first thing I noticed when I read into the campaign - the number four. It's me and Liam's angel number. I genuinely believe Liam, in a way, guided me to this campaign and wanted me to help others.

She also explained she was doing the interview to help others who are going through grief, or mental health disorders, as Liam Payne was always open about his mental health, and he wanted to help as much as he could. Kate Cassidy told Lorraine:

Anybody should not be afraid to speak out. I know he would want me to be able to help anybody because he can no longer help people.

She is sharing her journey through grief

The 25-year-old model and influencer also said she still talks about Liam Payne in the present tense. She told Lorraine:

I find myself talking about him so much in the present tense. [...] Talking about him in the past tense, it almost stings that little bit more. It feels more official. It's really hard to accept. I never thought I would be talking about him in the past tense.

While it is hard for her to even get out of bed on some days, Kate Cassidy still insists on trying to live her life while navigating her grief. She told Lorraine:

I have my better days, my harder days but I am surrounded by such a great support system and that has helped me so much with my healing journey, all my friends and family being supportive and helping me be productive.

The model and influencer goes on walks, does yoga, she is trying to keep moving, which is good for her mental health. She said:

Rather than staying in bed all day scrolling through social media and old photos it really helps my mindset and my mental health.
