A source close to the couple has denied these rumours. Claiming how Carl is done with the entire charades, the source told Ok!:
They're definitely not back together.
Katie was trying to win him back but pals don't see him ever getting back with her. He is pretty adamant that he is done now.
The source alleges that Katie tried to save the relationship but it was just too late.
Gone, long before
In the split announcement, Carl confessed that he got cheated on by Katie. Revealing it was ‘embarrassing’ for him, he made it clear that the relationship is ‘done’ now. Amidst this, another source has claimed that the end of their relationship was brewing for quite some time now.

It had been going on for a while and he’s confronted her over cheating a few times. He must have confronted her again and then she admitted it after denying it for so long.
Everything added up and after multiple cheating rumours, he’d just had enough. He was sick of trying to make it work with someone who he thought didn’t really care.

Carl has a strong relationship with the kids – especially Harvey. He was hurt. He does really love her but he’d just had enough.
