The 43-year-old former glamour model took part in the show back in 2004 where she met her ex-husband Peter Andre during her original stint. She later appeared on the show in 2009, however, she quit early as she was voted in for every trial.

Is it time to go back?

When she appeared on the 2009 show, it is believed that she was given a fee of £350,000 to take part, but did not get paid as she walked off in the middle. The ITV bosses are now said to be planning on inviting back legendary campmates for a pre-recorded I’m A Celeb. After hearing the news, Katie had put a screenshot of The Sun’s article on her story and wrote:

Yes, get me in

The Sun reports that Katie has been on calls to get her back in the show as she really enjoyed the first time she took part in it. Katie’s team has been contacted for a comment. Meanwhile, an insider told the publication:

As soon as she knew it was happening Katie was straight on the phone with ITV. She loved being on the show and now it's pre-recorded she won't get voted to do all the trials like her second stint on the show.
She thinks of her first appearance in the jungle as one of the happiest times of her life - she met Pete, the public loved her and everyone could see 'the real her'.
She's desperate to go back on the show. The only question is if she can do the tasks with her broken feet.

Katie previously disclosed that she would require continuous foot surgery after breaking her ankles during a trip to the Land of Legends theme park in Turkey in 2020 when she went from a wall.

I’m A Celeb

The new I'm A Celebrity spin-off will air in addition to the annual series and is expected to premiere next year. With 230 celebrities competing throughout 20 seasons, the TV bosses are giving the viewers three shows in two years.
