Hearing adjourned
The former model was scheduled to appear before a judge at the Royal Court of Justice to explain why she has not paid creditors millions of dollars. Katie filed for bankruptcy in 2019, owing £3.2 million in obligations to her failed company Jordan Trading Ltd, which was set up to handle her perfume and cosmetics line. However, the hearing was adjourned at the last minute and her lawyers did not give any reason for her absence. This is the third time that Katie has successfully put off appearing before a bankruptcy judge.
Her lawyers, JMW Solicitors, declined to comment, while a spokeswoman for the Royal Court of Justice said the matter had been vacated, with a new date for a hearing to be set. If evidence of Katie's purposeful failure to pay creditors is presented to the court at the hearing, the judge has the authority to imprison her. Price promised to pay off a substantial sum of money owed, and a November 2021 hearing was postponed until February on this basis.
Where’s the money coming from?
Katie has sought to rake in the dough this year despite her bankruptcy by staging another comeback with her TV show Katie Price's Mucky Mansion. She still appears to have continued a luxury lifestyle, including extravagant vacations to Las Vegas and Thailand with partner Carl Woods. Additionally, at the start of the year, she also created an OnlyFans account in the hopes of making even more money. While she had hoped that her OnlyFans account would put an end to her financial woes, she hasn't been so lucky in her endeavours.
