Is it prison time?
Katie Price faces charges of harassment and violating a restraining order against her ex-husband Kieran Hayler and his fiancée Michelle Penticost in court. Katie is said to have violated the order after she branded Michelle in not so polite words like - c***ing w***e piece of s***' and a 'gutter s**g. Anyone who breaks the terms of a restraining order is set for a maximum of five years of prison time.
She is said to have violated the terms of the restraining order a second time when she sent an anonymous letter attacking Michelle to a relative, just before flying out to Thailand. A source confirmed:
Katie is playing a dangerous game and her actions have led her into deep trouble.
Kieran and Michelle were deeply concerned after a relative received a letter, believing Katie is ignoring the rules of the restraining order as this is the second time it's happened in three months.
It was sent anonymously from Heathrow on the day she left for Thailand. They know it's her and are concerned by her unpredictable behaviour.
Not only this, but Katie also faces jail time if she is apprehended for her drunk-driving BMW crash while still on the road.
All troubles
She appeared in court yesterday accompanied by her fiancé Carl Woods, who sat in the public gallery. According to the court, the claimed message to Kieran may have been provoked by an Instagram post by Michelle, which she denies was directed at Katie. Katie pleaded not guilty as her lawyer defended her on grounds of her mental health. District Judge Amanda Kelly warned Price that the offence carries a possible sentence of five years in prison and said:
You are in really grave danger of going to prison.
This is a very serious allegation in which it is alleged you used indirectly vile and nasty language towards Ms Penticost, someone you were prohibited from contacting directly or indirectly by a restraining order.
It seems to me, Ms Price, that all of the children caught up in your relationships past and present need their adults to behave like adults. Stop exposing them to very public squabbles.
Katie was granted bail ahead of a plea and trial preparation hearing on May 25 at Lewes Crown Court on the condition that she not contact Ms Penticost in any way except for handing over children.
