Katie Price shares photos of her ‘new babies’

As reported by The Sun, the tabloid’s former Page 3 girl recently shared some photos of babies on her Instagram story. In one, she is holding a baby close to her chest with the caption ‘evening cuddles with my boy’. The baby’s face is shielded.

In another, she shares a photo of two babies, with their faces cropped with the caption ‘finally my twins have arrived’. The Sun has revealed that Katie’s ‘new babies’ are not real babies but are lifelike dolls called ‘Reborn dolls’.

A source close to the mum-of-five said that she is using the Reborn dolls to get people interested in her IVF journey.

She's posing with two dolls. These ones are known as reborn dolls and, while they look incredibly lifelike, they're not real.
She's doing it to get people interested in her IVF journey, which she's made a TV show about for Channel 4. It's out next year.

They added that Price is preparing for a future pregnancy and she hopes to ‘welcome twins’.

It's also part of her preparations for a future pregnancy, as she hopes to successfully welcome twins via a surrogate.

As per The Sun, Katie Price’s sister Sophie is has been seen heavily pregnant on social media but she hasn’t posted any updates about her pregnancy.

What are Reborn dolls?

The Sun reports that Reborn dolls can sell for £300, with some selling for as much as £20,000. In recent years, Reborn dolls’s popularity has increased and many across the UK have ‘adopted’ these dolls, some using them as a replacement for a real baby, while others collect them, as per Daily Mail.

Reborn dolls are made to be lifelike and can be personalised, they are hand-painted with extreme detail. Each Reborn doll is unique and can have freckles, rosy cheeks, specific facial expressions, skin textures and even birthmarks.

Owners of Reborn dolls can also request extra features, including battery-operated 'breathing machines', human hair or a scent that blends baby powder and infant laundry detergent.

These dolls can be so life-like that they can sometimes be mistaken for real babies. Indeed, one woman, Ava Prior found that out the hard way. As reported by Daily Mail, Ava paints Reborn dolls as a hobby and one day, the police smashed her door down as they mistook one of the dolls as being ‘abandoned’, they caused over £400 worth of damage.
