Peter Andre wants his son to learn from his mistakes
Junior Andre turned 18 earlier this year and celebrated his milestone birthday with a sun-soaked trip to Ibiza with his friends. The budding music star shares a great bond with his father who doesn’t want his eldest son to repeat his own mistakes.
According to The Mirror, Peter admitted that he isn’t himself ‘squeaky clean,’ but that doesn’t stop him from helping guide his son onto the right path. The 50-year-old Mysterious Girl singer has tried to give his youngsters some ‘words of wisdom on what I would say to my younger self and how I’ve changed over the years’ – even if it doesn't always go down well. Peter shared:
I’m far from perfect and don’t always get things right, But as a parent, it’s my job to try to point them in the right direction.
I’m trying to show him that as we get older, parents learn from their mistakes and pass that knowledge down to their kids.
For example, if I was to still sit holding a cigarette and say 'don’t ever smoke', it would be very hypocritical.
But if I used to smoke and say, 'Please don’t smoke because it’s not good for you,' then it’s because I learned from the past.

Junior Andre’s Ibiza trip for his 18th birthday
This comes after Junior went to Ibiza for his 18th birthday. The 18-year-old was spotted partying with many bikini-clad girls at celeb hotspot Ocean Beach, confirmed The Sun. After the trip, Junior admitted that his father expressed his ‘worry’ about his sun-soaked trip but he trusted Juinor anyway.
Junior said:
My dad knows me. I’m very responsible. He knows I know my limits so I can do what I like.
Obviously, he worries as a parent. Every parent worries. But worries in a good way, he doesn’t worry thinking I’ll do anything bad.
