Katie Price’s mum rushed to hospital after ultrasound mishap
Since the lung transplant, Amy has admitted that things were still ‘up and down’ as she navigates her life with a new lease. Amidst this, the 71-year-old was rushed to hospital after an ultrasound mishap. Katie Price - who recently started dating MAFS UK’s JJ Slater - and her sister Sophie shared on their podcast, The Katie Price Show, how their mother was rushed to the hospital.
Speaking on the podcast, Katie shared:
Mum ended up at the hospital because she had a burst cyst from an ultrasound.
Her sister then explained how Amy Price had an ultrasound the week before and one of her cysts accidentally burst during the process, reports The Mirror. She shared:
I had to take mum to A&E. The hospital were really good actually, we went to Medway hospital. Took mum up to A&E because she had a burst cyst, I think it was, but she is all fine.
She had an ultra-sound the other week and they burst it basically by accident. So we spent about six hours at A&E.
The sisters confirmed that Amy is doing better. Amy usually stays away from the limelight despite having daughters who constantly live in it. She previously wrote a book ‘The Last Word’ where she opened up about Katie’s mental health struggles.

The lung transplant may have given Amy a second chance at life, but things have not been going as smoothly. Amy once shared how during the lung transplant, things were a little touch and go for her as she almost died on the operating table. She said:
I went into cardiac arrest and they had to pump me to bring me back and I didn't know that.
According to The Sun, Amy has also revealed how exercising is a significant part of her life now. Adjusting to life after a lung transplant can be challenging and she experienced a ‘few setbacks’ despite being in the right direction. Amy explained:
The trouble is when you have a lung transplant it's so easy to sit because you still get a bit breathless but if I don't exercise, I won't move forward.
I had a single lung transplant but it would cease up so I've got to exercise to get it working.
