Facing five years in jail
Former glamour model Katie Price is facing a maximum sentence of five years after she breached a restraining order by sharing a ‘vile and nasty’ message targeting ex-husband Kieran Hayler's fiancée, Michelle Penticost.
Price was forbidden from contacting Penticost directly or indirectly under the terms of a five-year restraining order handed down at Horsham Magistrates' Court on 3 June 2019, as reported by Birmingham Live. Price admitted the charge and pleaded guilty to sending the text to Hayler on Wednesday 25 May at Lewes Crown Court after initially denying it.
Wedding 'plans are now on hold'
According to The Sun, Judge Stephen Mooney told Price:
Clearly you have accepted responsibility for an offence and pleaded guilty while you were on a suspended sentence which means you are at risk of going to prison.
I will need to know the relevant parts of the background to consider what the appropriate sentence should be.
Don’t be under any illusions, you run the risk of receiving an immediate custodial sentence.
This could have consequences for her wedding to fiancé Carl Woods. A source told The Sun:
Plans are now on hold - everything is up in the air.
She is desperate to marry Carl but everything is on hold until after the sentencing court date.
