Kelly Clarkson absent from her show for the past week
Kelly Clarkson's fans have been worried about their favourite host. Indeed, the singer has been missing from her show for the past week, without giving an explanation. In the meantime, guests have stepped up as one-time hosts, including action star and actor Simu Liu. On 3 March, he explained to the audience:
Kelly isn't able to make it today. We're sending her our very best. I did not know that I was doing this until about five minutes ago when I arrived to promote my new movie 'Last Breath'. I'm here now, and look, I'm not one to back down from a challenge.
Kelly Clarkson returned to her show on 5 March, but she has been absent again since then. Her absence has been continuously filled by celebrities, including Sunday Today's Willie Geist, The Daily Show's Roy Wood Jr, Wanda Sykes, Josh Groban and Brooke Shields. They've been keeping their lips tight. Roy Wood Jr. told the show's audience on 6 March:
Kelly's out for the day. I'm back. You're in good hands. I was here about a week ago, I think they brought me back because of my resemblance to Kelly. You need to squint to see it, though.
The singer is dealing with personal issues
Naturally, as it does with a famous celebrity, all the silence has been leading to very worried fans—who have wondering if her health has anything to do with it. However, sources told TMZ that the singer is 'completely fine'.
According to them, she is dealing with personal issues that have got nothing to do with her physical and mental health. TMZ noted in their report:
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Kelly herself is completely fine. She's been dealing with a personal matter that does not directly involve her.
According to the tabloid, Kelly Clarkson is expected to return to the studio tomorrow. In tomorrow's episode, many fans are eager to hear what the singer will say about her absence, if she does at all.
Deadline also concurred that her absence is 'due to a private matter', however they reported that NBSUniversal, which produces the show, declined to comment.
