As mentioned above, Kevin Costner gave an exclusive interview with People in June 2024. During this interview, Costner talks about navigating life after divorce, saying that ‘you just do it’. He explains that he put all of his focus on his children:

As per The Sun, while Kevin Costner was at California State University at Fullerton, he met and dated Cindy Silva. The two tied the knot on February 11, 1978, after dating for three years. During their 16-year marriage, they welcomed three children, Annie, Lily and Joe.

However, on December 12, 1994, Costner and Silva finalised their divorce but said in a statement that they ‘amicably resolved’ anything concerning their children.

We have amicably resolved all issues regarding our children and financial affairs and a full marital settlement has been reached.

Kevin Costner dated Bridget Rooney

After divorcing Cindy Silva, Kevin Costner briefly dated Bridget Rooney, a TV reporter. As per The Sun, in November 1996, Costner welcomed his fourth child, Liam - his first with Rooney. According to reports, Costner asked for a paternity test as Bridget and Kevin had only been dating seven months before she fell pregnant.

Costner and Rooney’s romance was short-lived, and the actor went on to have several other brief relationships.

As reported by The Sun, Kevin Costner also had a brief relationship with Joan Lunden, former Good Morning America co-host, in 1995. Their relationship didn’t last long due to the media attention around Costner’s divorce from Cindy Silva.
