The episode revealed that Kim’s iconic entry to the 2022 Met Galain the late Marilyn Monroe’s dress happened only because of Kris Jenner, who pulled all the strings.
Kim apparently begged and pleaded with her mother to make it happen, to which, at one point, Kris had to ask the SKIMS founder to shut up.
Kim’s process of getting Marilyn Monroe’s gown
Monroe’s legendary sheer embellished gown was something Kim had her eyes on for the 2022 Met Gala. The gown, which was under the custody of Ripley's Believe It Or Not, was a far-fetched dream for Kim. Kris had to make a compelling argument to Ripley’s to make them loan the gown to Kim.
As per Newsweek, Kardashian said she ‘would have done anything to make her vision for the ball a reality’. Kim said:
I was like, 'Please mom if you make this happen, I'll marry you,'
I was screaming at her on the phone going, 'I'll pay for it, I'll this, I'll fly to Florida, I'll do an appearance at Ripley's. And she's just like, 'Shut up, shut up,'
She kept muting them and going, 'Shut up.'
Kim’s experience in the dress
Kim had a lot of rules and regulations stipulated by Ripley's to follow while donning the dress. If she sat in a car while wearing it, or someone touched her or one stone fell off, she would have to pay millions. She was only allowed to wear it for a couple of minutes on the red carpet, before changing into a replica, as per Metro UK.
