Whilst Laura and Iain are expecting their first child this spring, they are both expected to return to their presenting and voice-over duties on Love Island series 7 this summer. So just how will they manage to balance taking care of a newborn with fronting ITV2’s biggest reality show?

Appearing on Steph’s Packed Lunch on Channel 4, Laura joked that their new arrival could be making their own appearance on the show. Referring to Love Island’s traditional glamorous entrances, she laughed:
I’ll slow mo with the baby under my arm… no, I don’t think that would work.
Laura continued:
We’re very lucky that we never even work the same days and times on that show, we never actually work together. We have different schedules, and I’m really happy to live in 2021 where, I think, women can work and have a family and have that support and I feel quite supported that way.
Laura Whitmore baby advice
Elsewhere in the interview, Laura revealed that some strangers have been a little too forthcoming with their ‘advice’ about becoming a parent. She said:
I was in the park the other day and a woman I don’t know came up to me and said, 'It’s like being ripped in half.'
Sounds very reassuring…
When is Love Island series 7?
Whilst ITV confirmed last week that Love Island will be returning in 2021 for series 7, no start date has yet been confirmed. Love Island usually starts in June but with the coronavirus pandemic still ongoing it’s unclear if this will be postponed to later than usual. It’s also unclear whether the show will be filmed in Majorca as usual or in a new UK location.
