Lorraine Kelly graces our screens most weekday mornings on her self-titled show Lorraine. The daytime queen has fronted the programme since 2010 and recently celebrated her 64th birthday. While she already had a great career and many achievements in her bag, Lorraine has landed a new gig with ITV. Reportedly, she will now be a guest judge on The Masked Singer.

Lorraine Kelly lands The Masked Singer gig
According to The Sun, Lorraine Kelly, comics Sir Lenny Henry and Rob Brydon and pop star Ellie Goulding will join the regulars Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan for the new series of The Masked Singer.
This comes in addition to Olly Murs, Charlie Simpson and Jennifer Saunders, who will sit in for Rita for three episodes of the latest run. The Masked Singer will return on TV screens on Saturday at 7pm on ITV1and will include a host of mystery madcap characters including Air Fryer, Bubble Tea and Weather.
Apart from Lorraine’s appearance on the show, host Joel Dommett is also excited about the upcoming series as he recently became a father. He shared:
I think it’s definitely my best series just because of my child arriving.
I feel like it’s all so joyous and fun. I am viewing it all in an entirely different way.
It is understood that just like Joel, Lorraine would have enjoyed the series too along with other first-timers.
Lorraine Kelly cries on TV after tragedy strikes ITV crew
This comes after she ended up in tears in a recent episode of her show. One of the digital producers for ITV, Hannah Hawkins, passed away due to breast cancer. As Lorraine stood next to Hannah’s widower Tom and their baby Rory she had tears rolling down her cheeks, reported The Sun.
The TV pro apologised to viewers at home after she broke down in tears on TV earlier this month. The Change + Check choir - made up of breast cancer survivors - sang their charity single Golden for Hannah who passed away after giving birth to her son Rory.
Lorraine had previously said Golden would be dedicated to the memory of former colleague Hannah Hawkins. When the song was playing she leaned to baby Rory and said:
That's your mummy's song, that's your mummy's song.
