Despite this information having been revealed to the public from the onset, viewers were waiting until she took it upon herself to talk about her famous family ties. The moment finally took place during Love Island's Unseen Bits show on Saturday night. However, though Gemma talks about her dad she still has yet to divulge it explicitly on camera to fellow islanders or even partner Luca Bish.
The brunette beauty brings her dad up when she is asked by producers to do her best impression at which point she replies:
Who can I do? There's no way I'm going to do my dad, but people always do the classic, 'If they don't score, they don't win.' It's something like that. It's some bulls**t or whatever.
Twitter meltdown
What followed was an influx of twitter users going crazy over the name dropping. Although the phenomenon behind why viewers have been anticipating the moment so much is very little understood, they definitely had a field day to celebrate the occasion. One viewer tweeted:

Fans are also convinced that though we have yet to see her talk about her dad to fellow islanders this doesn't mean that they don't already know. As one viewer speculated that:
It's not credible that Jacques’ has been in for few days and the 'famous dad' hasn't been outed yet. There’s no way Jacques comes in and doesn’t go “oh yeah lads you know she’s Michael Owen’s daughter.
