Love Island’s Amber Wise was never meant to be a Casa Amor bombshell: 'She was meant to be in earlier’

Summer Love Island 2023 has successfully ended the Casa Amor week and its repercussions will continue tomorrow night (July 9) when Movie Night hits the villa. Sammy, Mitch and Zach recoupled during Casa Amor and that gave Amber, Abi and Molly a ticket to stay in the villa longer.

While Sammy Root let Amber stay longer in the villa, she wasn’t supposed to be a Casa Amor bombshell.

Love Island bosses attempted to get Amber multiple times

According to The Sun, Amber’s famous footballer dad Dennis Wise revealed that she was approached by show bosses last year for the Winter series. Dennis revealed:

After Gemma appeared in last year's show, Amber was inundated with requests for various shows but when Love Island first got in touch it was about the winter one.

However, she had just started her University so the offer was declined. Amber was then approached again for series 10. Dennis said:

But she'd just started uni so that was a no, and then they asked again about the summer one.

She didn’t tell me at first, until she’d spoken to them a couple of times, and if I’m being honest it was a ‘No, please’ from me.

She came to me with all the reasons she wanted to do it and eventually I said ‘Okay, fine.’ When she made that decision, we fully backed her.

Love Island’s Amber Wise was never supposed to be a Casa Amor bombshell

It is understood that Amber was supposed to be one of the few early bombshells in the series. The 19-year-old had also flown to Mallorca for the same but got food poisoning and had to come back.

Dennis explained:

Amber was actually meant to be in earlier but she and her chaperone got food poisoning.

So then she actually came home for a period and then they said, look we’d like you to go into Casa Amor. She’d flown out 7th June, and then came back on the 22nd June.

Amber was yet again approached by show bosses during Casa. Dennis added:

And then they said look, would you come back for Casa Amor and she said ’dad what do you think?’

So she decided and then she went back out.

This comes after Amber Wise has been unable to get a warm reception from viewers at home. Love Island fans have slammed show bosses for putting a teenager on the show. One fan tweeted:
