In a cruel twist this week, Love Island producers made the viewer-voted least compatible couple decide between themselves which would stay and which would be dumped from Love Island. With Lucinda and Brad voted least compatible, OG Islander Brad volunteered to sacrifice his place in the villa for Lucinda.

Despite describing Brad as ‘literally my dream person’, Lucinda decided to stay in the villa without him to ‘see where it gets her’. Fans were divided as to whether Lucinda should have left with Brad or not—with some saying she should have done while others pointed out she had only known him a couple of days and would be mad to give up the opportunities Love Island brings.
Brad regrets his decision
After leaving the villa alone, Brad has admitted he’s got some regrets. He said:
I woke up this morning and I wish we had left together. I want to see where that could have went... I had a bit more time than her, so going off time alone it’s only fair that she got her fair shot at it.
But although Lucinda didn’t follow him out of the villa, Brad is still holding out hope that they might rekindle their romance later on. He said:
I’m kind of hoping she doesn’t find love in there, because maybe we can carry on from where we left off. The way we had a connection, it would be really nice to take what we had and continue it on the outside.
Will Brad and Lucinda get back together?
Stranger things have happened. Back in series 3, Dom Lever stayed in the villa for 11 days after Jessica Shears was dumped. Despite him going on to couple up with Tyla Carr and Montana Brown, he rekindled his romance with Jess once he left the villa—and they’re now married with a baby! There could be hope for Brad and Lucinda yet.
