Who is Marvin Humes?
Marvin Humes was born on March 18, 1985, in Greenwich, London. As per GHGossip, Marvin’s father is Jamaican and his mother is Scottish. Marvin has two brothers, Leon and Jackson and is the middle child.
Marvin Humes rose to fame in 2008 when he and his friends competed on The X Factor with their boyband JLS. The group didn’t manage to win, they came second to Alexander Burke, but that didn’t stop the group from becoming a worldwide sensation.
JLS is made up of Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes, and JB Gill. The group split in December 2013 but in February 2022, the group reunited and in 2023 they have been on tour.

According to Capital, Marvin Humes’s net worth is around £4 million. As mentioned above, a lot of his fortune will have come from his singing career, but he has done a lot of other work too that has contributed to his £4 million net worth.
Marvin Humes has done some acting in the past, indeed, as per GHGossip, he has been on Holby City, he appeared in 14 episodes as Robbie Waring, from 2000 to 2003.
When Humes was 14, he starred in K-Club, a children’s programme, which showed people how computers work. Marvin was also one of the hosts for The Voice UK between 2014 and 2016, alongside Emma Willis.
Marvin Humes also does radio. The JLS star has his own radio show with Capitalevery Friday from 7 pm to 10 pm as the official start of ‘The Weekend Lives on Capital’. Then, in March 2016, it was announced that Humes would be taking over the Capital Late Show, which airs Monday to Thursday from 10 pm to 1 am.
On November 20, 2018, Marvin Humes started hosting a music quiz show alongside his with, Rochelle Humes on BBC One. The show, The Hit List, began in May 2019 and aired a second series.
In 2020, Marvin Humes became an ambassador for Next’s menswear, a UK retailer.
Marvin Humes also made his debut with ITV’s This Morning on August 23, 2013, hosting alongside his wife, once again. The couple would often be the ‘stand-in’ hosts until 2015.
However, Marvin has revealed that he doesn’t plan on returning to This Morning. He said, as per Mirror:
Never say never but that's sort of Roch's family now - it's her thing and it kind of makes sense for it to be how it is." He added that his wife is "so good at that job.
