After being questioned on his health in the past few months, there seems to be a change happening behind-the-scenes for Trump.

Melania Trump, who works out regularly, goes to spas, and takes care of her skin and hair, seems to be on a mission to change Trump’s diet. This comes as Trump is going to take over the Oval Office for a second time. A source claimed:

Melania famously watches every bite she takes… She has also guided their son’s eating habits since he was a toddler.

According to Page Six, RFK Jr. and Melania are on a mission to overhaul Trump’s diet. RFK Jr.—who admitted to having an unusual hobby—withdrew his name from elections to endorse Trump and is now understood to head the Department of Health and Human Services under his leadership.

Melania and RFK are understood to be working on cutting back Trump’s indulgences like Big Macs and Diet Coke and introducing healthier options in his diet.

An insider told the publication:

Think fewer Big Macs and less KFC, and more lean protein, salad and veggies for energy and to improve his overall well-being.

Another source shared that Melania has started cooking as well to ensure Trump makes healthier choices. They said:

Melania has, on occasion, been cooking family dinners at Trump Tower for the president and their son, Barron. She’s also encouraging him to make healthier choices.

Some sources have also rubbished the claims as one said:

Nonsense! Trump eats whatever he wants.

Inside Donald Trump’s diet: Here’s what he eats in a day

For decades, Trump has been synonymous with fast food culture. His preference for McDonald’s, KFC, and Diet Coke has become a defining feature of his public persona. A previous article by The Times stated that doctors have tried incorporating vegetables into their diet. His physician, Ronny Jackson, told The Times in 2018:

We were working on his diet. We were making the ice cream less accessible, we were putting cauliflower in the mashed potatoes.

However, they seem to have been unsuccessful in their pursuit as the president still remains highly dependent on fast food, reports House and Garden. According to information accumulated from various sources, Trump skips breakfast most days or only has bacon and eggs.

Interestingly, he also skips lunch or would make do with meatloaf sandwiches if there’s a need. In a book written by Trump’s former aide, it was revealed that he ‘would usually go 14 to 16 hours without eating.’

Dinner is where his unhealthy diet shows. The book reports that Trump’s dinner includes two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches, and a chocolate shake - all amounting to over 2,400 calories.

In state dining settings, his preferences clash with traditional fine dining menus. He once suggested that state dinners should be replaced with hamburgers on conference tables.
