On March 18, 2028, a new book about the 47th President was published. Revenge: The Inside Story of Trump's Return to Power, written by Alex Isenstadt, one of Axios’ senior political reporters.

Alex Isenstadt was a guest on Daily Mail's Welcome to MAGAland podcast, where he spoke about his latest release, along with some interesting details about Melania Trump’s involvement in her husband's political work.

Melania is an ‘incredibly important advisor’ for President Donald Trump

Speaking to Daily Mail’s podcast, Alex Isenstadt revealed that Melania Trump is very involved in her husband’s second presidency, behind the scenes. She is an ‘incredibly important advisor’ for Donald Trump.

Talking about their dynamic, Isenstadt explained that when the President takes late-night calls from his aides, he would often put his phone on speaker so Melania can be a part of the conversation.

Moreover, he revealed that the First Lady advised her husband not to make his first post on X – formerly Twitter – once his account was reinstated, explaining it would ‘make him look small’.

Another aspect where Melania will guide her husband is fashion, which isn’t surprising as she was a model and finds importance in appearances and presentation. Alex Isenstadt told Daily Mail:

She also gives him stylistic advice, which is not surprising because she's someone who's very much into appearances and presentation, of course.

Melania’s absence in politics helps President Donald Trump

Alex Isenstadt also comments on the fact that Melania is often absent from campaigns and rallies held by and for President Trump.

Even though it is widely known that Melania doesn’t like getting too involved in politics and would rather concentrate on her only son, Barron, she does make rare appearances.

Speaking about her scarce political appearances, Isenstadt explained that in a way, it helps President Trump that the First Lady only appears on occassion as it 'creates value'. He said:

In a lot of ways, her scarcity creates value. Donors want to be around her when she's going to an event; that's a huge attraction because she's not there as much, right?
Trump, he's holding press conferences every day and he's totally out there all the time. But when she's present at something, it gets a lot of eyeballs. And I think she knows that.

Who is Alex Isenstadt?

Alex Isenstadt is a senior political reporter for Axios. According to the book’s description, Isenstadt was given ‘extraordinary access’ and conducted ‘over 300 interviews’ to report Trump’s ‘history-defying reelection campaign’.

Revenge shows ‘how he [Trump] overcame seemingly insurmountable challenges to return to the White House’.

The challenges illustrated in the new book include the events of January 6, Trump's several indictments, the assassination attempts, and much more.

Moreover, Isenstadt will allow readers to go ‘deep into Mar-a-Lago, inside the courtroom’ as well as demonstrate how the President and his team ‘responded, overcame, and in some cases orchestrated each and every surreal moment in this one-of-a-kind presidential campaign’.
