Miranda Hart's mysterious love life
The 51-year-old actress and comedian, who famously played in action film Spy, has always been open to her fans about her private life, or so it seemed. Indeed, while they believed she was still single, Miranda Hart recently made a shocking revelation on the BBC's One Show. During her interview to promote her newest book, entitled I Haven't Been Entirely Honest With You, she told her fans she got married about ten months ago, all the while keeping his identity a well-kept secret. She moved one of her rings from her right hand to her left, saying:
I can now swap this ring to the other side and say, ‘Someone put a ring on it!’
The comedian, known for including her 'university chum' Gary in her series, portrayed by Lucifer actor Tom Ellis, has now found her own real-life happy ending with the love of her life.
I’d written Gary for on-screen Miranda, and it wasn’t until I was 49 that I met my person, and I met him, and it’s a little undercurrent in the book.
She also added that she would keep her husband's identity private, as well as how they met, because it would all be revealed in her book. Miranda Hart concluded by expressing how happy she is, and how exciting it is to get married later in life.

The comedian got married ten months ago
Following her shocking revelation, Miranda Hart received an outpouring of love and support from her fans, whom she took the time to thank in a video posted on her Instagram account. Before high-fiving her husband, whose face remained hidden, she said:
I just wanted to say thank you so much for the lovely messages about my news. It’s really very touching that you should be happy that I’m happy, and I really, really am.
I’ve got my best friend to do life with, and it’s wonderful, and I'm also utterly thrilled to be back in telly land and having a book out, so thanks so much for all your support.
So, who is the actress' husband?
According to The Independent, Richard Fairs is a 60-year-old building surveyor who met Miranda while working on her house.The couple met during the 2020 lockdown, while she suffered from a bout of Lyme disease, a chronic illness that left her unable to leave her bed. She said:
The fact that I met someone during a pandemic, during chronic illness when I couldn’t get out of bed or get out of the house, and I really really wanted to meet someone, I didn’t want to do life on my own any more, and I kind of admitted that to myself and I tell that story in the book.
