Molly-Mae Hague modelling
During a recent fan Question & Answer session on her Instagram stories, a follower asked Molly-Mae for tips on getting into modelling, to which the 21-year-old influencer said:
I have a funny story that happened to me when I was younger – it’s not funny at all actually, it still traumatises me to this day.
Molly-Mae explained that she was scouted by a woman from a modelling agency whilst on a train and invited to a meeting in London for a potential signing. Molly-Mae said she was ‘buzzing’ and cancelled work the next day so that she could head to London and hopefully kick off her modelling career.
‘Not the right shape’
However, she was left devastated when the meeting didn’t go as planned. Hague revealed:
She got me to stand in front of her and some other people and do like a little twirl in all black clothing, no make up. She literally took one look at me and went, ‘yeah, no, sorry, made a mistake, you’re not the right shape to be a model’.
She continued:
And I literally was traumatised trying to be all polite, whereas if it happened now it would be a different story. But I was like, ‘can you give me constructive criticism, like what’s not, what wasn’t right about me?’ and she was like, ‘you just looked different on the train, your legs looked different’. Honestly, it was awful… it was so, so, so bad.
