There is a crisis in the Norwegian royal family. Following previous reports in August of this year, Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, has now been arrested again. He has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman.

New arrest on sexual assault charges
Now, according to further reports from t-online, ntv magazine, Stern and Der Spiegel, Marius Borg Høiby was arrested again on the evening of 18 November 2024. According to official information, he has been accused of sexual contact with a person 'who was unconscious or otherwise unable to resist'.
So far, the allegations have been specified as sexual contact without sexual intercourse.
The 27-year-old is currently in custody. It is not yet clear whether he will remain in custody, and for how long. Marius Borg Høiby himself has pleaded not guilty to the charges, according to reports. The royal family has so far refused to comment on the whole affair.
