Olivia Wilde is the woman of the hour. After receiving critical acclamation for her directorial hit Don’t Worry Darling, she went on to grab headlines for her alleged relationship with Harry Styles.

Now, she is in the spotlight yet again, with a lot of speculation and rumors about her relationship with Jason Sudeikis, her ex. Leaked by their former nanny are many allegations against Wilde and stories of an apparent affair with Harry Styles that broke up the couple. Sudeikis and Wilde have released a joint statement against the false accusations by their ex-nanny.
Although Sudeikis and Wilde were in a long-term relationship and seven-year-long engagement, they didn’t make it to marriage.
The reason fans didn’t see a Wilde-Sudeikis wedding
After the ex-couple met in 2011, they instantly hit it off. And this resulted in Wilde moving to NYC to live with Sudeikis in 2012. The same year, the couple got engaged and ended up having children in the coming years. But in 2020, the couple called off their long-term engagement, with no exact details as to why they made that decision. While there was no drama at the time, they are fighting a custody battle for their children at the moment.
As per Cheatsheet, Wilde once defended her long engagement by saying that she and Sudeikis were already bound together through their son and didn’t need a marriage license to prove their commitment.
Finding a middle ground
According to OK Magazine, the ex-couple had a lot of issues even before calling it quits. One of their main issues was apparently that they were never on the same page. While Sudeikis supposedly wanted to live in NYC, Wilde was leaning towards L.A.
Their careers also seemingly got in the way of the couple, as Wilde reportedly had a busier schedule than her ex-partner. Somehow their interests and careers didn’t seem to cross paths.
