The two didn’t sleep together until they wed and even seem to follow the tradition of having big families. The couple welcomed their seventh child last year and Paris was expecting their eighth child this year. Unfortunately, they lost it the day before Tyson’s fight against Oleksandr Usyk in Saudi Arabia.
Paris Fury kept the miscarriage a secret from Tyson Fury
According to Sky Sports, Paris was six months pregnant with their 8th child—a boy—in May when Tyson was due for his fight. She had planned to fly for Tyson’s fight to Saudi, despite having high blood pressure, but things changed when she went for her routine gender scan.
Speaking about her miscarriage for the first time, Paris explained she was alone at that time and got a friend to take care of her kids while she went for her routine checkup. The 34-year-old said she knew something was ‘wrong’ when she sat for her scan, reports Mirror.
Paris, who has had two miscarriages before, was devastated when she was told about the third one. She explained:
I knew there was a problem. I didn’t know, my head was sort of telling me, actually, no, you’re wrong… but I was looking at screen, thinking, ‘Why is that not flickering?’
The sonographer said to me, ‘I’m really sorry, Paris, there’s no heartbeat. I jumped up, started to cry, and said, ‘No, hold on, hold on. No, no, wait,’ and went all frantic.
She booked another ultrasound for the next day at her local Lancaster Hospital just to be sure and decided to keep it a secret from her husband.
Tyson also opened up about the incident at a recent press conference. He shared:
She said she couldn't come. I asked her what was up and asked her to tell me, but she wouldn't. So I knew, I knew, I knew there was a problem.
I said to my brother 'she's lost that baby'. She never told me she had lost the baby, but I knew. When I got back I got the inevitable confirmation that it was gone, but she had kept it to herself.
Paris is understood to be still recovering from the tragic incident after having to give birth to a deceased child.
