The early 2000s were kind to these co-stars with a blossoming friendship when they starred together in The Simple Life in 2003. As per Good Housekeeping, the relationship turned sour in 2005 when the two allegedly had a major fallout. Hilton even openly spoke about this supposed rift and announced that the duo were no longer friends.
The reason for the fallout
There is a lot of speculation regarding why the dynamic duo called their friendship quits. The feud allegedly started because Hilton didn’t invite Richie on Saturday Night Live when she was hosting. And to get back at this, Richie apparently posted a private video of Hilton at a party. Things soon went south with the two stars.
The reunion of Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie
They have been inseparable and have had dramatic fallouts, but they are apparently past it all. Rumor has it that the former BFFs have reconciled. As per Harpers Bazaar, the two remain friends to date and have kept in touch through the years.
They have been publicly spotted hanging out on various occasions over the years. But what confirmed their friendship were two posts by Hilton on Instagram. The most recent one was a birthday wish for Richie. Hilton also shared snippets of the two of them during her dreamy Bel Air wedding last year, captioned, ‘Love you Nicole Richie, no one could make me laugh like you do..’.
