Mariah Carey's incredible power
In a video that has been liked nearly 50,000 times on Twitter (which, you will admit, is something), and seen more than a million times, you can see passengers waiting on a platform at 34th Street Penn station, who start singing Mariah Carey's global hit, All I Want For Christmas Is You.
According to several American media outlets, however, this is no coincidence: these New Yorkers had just come out of a Mariah Carey concert at Madison Square Garden. 'The power of Mariah Carey's Christmas concert,' commented the internet user who posted the video on Twitter.
An undeniable power, since for the first time in its 25 years of existence, the American artist's single is the number one selling single in the United States. 'We did it,' the singer enthused on Twitter, adding numerous emojis.
