Since then, the 61-year-old has been living discreetly, taking time to process the whole ordeal. Shortly after the scandal broke out, ITV revealed that Schofield was in counseling. Then he was hit with more bad news as his elderly mother spent some time in hospital for an unknown illness.
It has now been three months since the scandal first came to light, according to a source, the former Dancing on Ice host may be planning his comeback.
Phillip Schofield could be coming back to TV
As reported by Mirror, Phillip Schofield was seen meeting up with former This Morning colleague, Vanessa Feltz. It is believed that Feltz met Schofield to ‘test the waters’.
Sources speculated that Vanessa took this opportunity to promote TalkTV, on which she herself is a host. As per Mirror, the source said:
Phil has really kept his head down since he left This Morning. Losing his entire career in a matter of weeks hit him hard, and he needed time to recover. Even now, everything is still very raw for him.
They then added that Schofield is allegedly considering job opportunities:
But in the last few weeks he has begun to entertain offers and consider what his next steps might be. When he met with Vanessa earlier this month, she suggested a conversation with Piers about Talk TV and he was open to that conversation.
However, it is interesting to note that Phillip’s lawyer has previously denied prior rumours that he would be joining TalkTv.

Phillip Schofield could publish a tell-all book
A second source has speculated that the former This Morning host may be planning to publish a book as he has allegedly been approached by various publishing companies:
Phil has had several approaches by book publishers - including Hodder & Stoughton - about a new memoir, in which he talks more fully about This Morning, Holly, and how his career at ITV imploded.
The source then adds that if he goes down this route, it could be a very lucrative option:
His account of this would be incredibly compelling, and no doubt lucrative, though at this stage money has not yet been discussed. Phil liked the approach from Hodder and has spoken to them briefly.
Phillip Schofield has already released one memoir so far, Life’s What You Make It, in October 2020.
