During his time in the industry, Jones won 28 Grammy Awards and worked with musicians like Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Count Basie and Celine Dion. That being said, Jones has racked up quite a reputation for saying controversial things—one of them was when he claimed that he once dated Ivanka Trump - Donald Trump’s eldest daughter.

Quincy Jones once claimed he used to date Ivanka Trump

In a candid 2018 interview, Jones made headlines with a shocking claim that he used to date Ivanka Trump. The music icon told New York magazine's David Marchese that he went on a date with Ivanka in 2006 when he was 72 and she was 25, reports MailOnline.

He told the publication:

I used to date Ivanka, you know.

When asked about more details, he explained that Tommy Hilfiger had told him that Ivanka wanted to have dinner with him. He shared:

I said, ‘No problem.’ She’s a fine motherf**ker. She had the most beautiful legs I ever saw in my life. Wrong father, though.

Ivank has never accepted or denied the claims. She is now married to her father's former senior advisor, Jared Kushner, and has three kids: Arabella, Joseph, and Theodore.

These claims came after Jones told GQ in January 2018 that he had ‘22 girlfriends,’ despite his daughters repeatedly telling him that he shouldn’t date younger women. He told the magazine:

I got 22 girlfriends... Hell yeah. Everywhere. Cape Town. Cairo. Stockholm—she's coming in next week. Brazil—Belo Horizonte, São Paulo, and Rio. Shanghai—got a great girl over there from Shanghai, man. Cairo, whew.

Quincy Jones called Trump a ‘megalomaniac narcissist’

In the same shocking interview, he also revealed his true feelings about Trump, reports The Independent. Describing him in strikingly negative terms, he called the former president a ‘megalomaniac narcissistic.’ He said:

I used to hang out with him. He’s a crazy motherf**ker. Limited mentally – a megalomaniac, narcissistic. I can’t stand him.

Criticizing Trump’s leadership style, he added:

A symphony conductor knows more about how to lead than most businesspeople – more than Trump does.
He doesn’t know sh*t. Someone who knows about real leadership wouldn’t have as many people against him as he does. He’s a f*cking idiot.
