Rare videos of the Trump family: From baby Barron to Melania posing as POTUS in old Slovenian ad

Since Donald Trump entered the race to becoming President of the United States, once again, the internet has been abuzz with resurfaced videos of Donald and Melania Trump. The sharing of old videos only intensified when he won the election and officially entered the Oval Office on 20 January.

The videos showcase moments from their past and while Trump has had many viral moments over the years, these old videos have reignited discussion online.

These clips, ranging from Melania’s surprising portrayal as the first female US president in a Slovenian ad to rare footage of baby Barron, offer a fascinating glimpse into their pre-White House years.

Melania Trump addressing accusations that she’s with Trump for money

This 1999 interview with ABC News resurfaces time and again on social media, reigniting debates over Melania’s relationship with Donald. At the time, 26-year-old Melania Knauss was an aspiring model when she was accused of dating Trump for money, reports Wion. When questioned about feeling hurt by such suggestions, Melania responded:

You know, the people, they don't know me.

Correspondent Don Dahler highlighted that not many 26-year-old girls will date 53-year-old car mechanics, to which Melania—who recently revealed she will do a documentary on her life—said:

You know what, you can't sleep or to hug or to talk with beautiful things, with beautiful apartment, beautiful plane, beautiful cars, beautiful houses, you can't do that. You could feel very empty.

And if somebody said, “you're with the man because he's rich and famous,” they don't know me.

Melania’s Slovenian ad as first woman President

Interestingly, another old video that has resurfaced is one where Melania portrays being the first Woman President of the US in an old Slovenian commercial for a clothing brand.

The ad, unearthed by Univision, showcases Melania arriving at an airport in a trench coat, stepping out of a plane, and greeting Secret Service-styled bodyguards and a TV crew. In later scenes, she is seen sitting in a car and waving to supporters. The crowd in the ad is in reality archival footage of John F. Kennedy’s fans. Throughout the commercial, Melania is depicted riding in a motorcade, presiding over a cabinet meeting, and even signing off on immigration documents.

Donald Trump’s The Apprentice ad featuring young Barron

A heartwarming family moment has also resurfaced in the form of a 2006 video from The Apprentice, featuring a newborn Barron Trump. In the clip, which has racked up over 7 million views, Melania is seen carrying baby Barron, dressed in a pink blouse and white pants, reports The Sun.

Donald then emerges from a Rolls-Royce convertible to greet his wife and son. Melania is seen saying in the video:

Daddy’s coming home! Say ‘hi, daddy,'

Donald Trump responds with a ‘Hi, Honey!’ takes off his sunglasses and kisses her. He also plants a kiss on Barron’s cheek. As the couple walk away, Trump turns to the camera and explains the premise of the show.
