Will Regé-Jean Page return to Bridgerton?
A source has told The Sun that the Duke of Hastings may be back for season three of the Regency-era drama, which will focus on the relationship between Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, aka (spoiler alert!)Lady Whistledown. The source said:
Rege-Jean was always very open about his intention to quit the show after the first season and to move on to other projects.
But recently there has been a dialogue between him and the show’s bosses. Nothing has been formally agreed yet, but watch this space.
Things are very up in the air at the moment, but this will be an exciting year for Rege, without a doubt.
Regé-Jean Page doesn't rule it out
The rumours have also been shared on the Twitter account of online clothing company Boohoo. The brand shared images of Page in the show and wrote:
PSA It’s been rumoured that The Duke will return for season 3 of Bridgerton.
The company did not cite any sources for their information.
Page himself has contributed to the speculation. When GQ inquired about a potential future cameo or guest appearance, he didn't rule it out. He answered:
You know I couldn’t tell you! Isn’t there something wonderful about being surprised by what you weren’t suspecting?
Page is starring in the upcoming Netflix film, The Gray Man. He is also set to appear in the Dungeons & Dragons movie, and there's been much speculation that he is one of the frontrunners to be the next James Bond.
