It is unclear how the young footballer and the young model met, but as per People, they have been dating since May 2019. In November 2021, the young couple made their first red carpet at the British Fashion Awards.
Romeo and Mia have been the type of couple to often share photos and small tributes to one another on social media. However, on 25 February the two announced their breakup on Instagram. Prior to that, the two had sparked rumours about a split.
Romeo Beckham and Mia Regan announce their split
Taking to Instagram the two chose to announce their breakup. Beckham posted a story which read:
Mooch and I have parted ways after 5 years of love, we still have a lot of love and respect for each other, and still hold a strong friendship and always will 🤍🤍
Mia Regan followed suit by also sharing a picture of the two eating ice cream in her story. The model wrote:
This is ro, we have grown up with each other since we were 16!! Love takes different forms & paths as you mature. We are tougher romantically but we do share lots & lots of love for one another... After 5 years we friendzoned each other heheh ❤️❤️❤️
Rumours of a breakup were already going around
As reported by Daily Mail, rumours had been circulating that Romeo Beckham and Mia Regan had split as they hadn’t posted photos of one another on Instagram in a while. Indeed, Romeo didn’t share a tribute to his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day and instead shared a photo of his mother, Victoria Beckham, who recently revealed how she feels about becoming a grandmother.
Fans had been commenting on Romeo’s Instagram post asking if he and Mia were still together.
One person wrote:
What about Mia? Are they still together?
Another wrote:
Have you and Mia broken up?
While a third wrote:
No valentine message for Mia then.? Have they split up?
Moreover, as per Daily Mail, Mia was seen travelling alone to Italy and was seen without Romeo at the Missoni show during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, February 24.
Reports of the two no longer living together
A source told Mirror that Mia Regan had reportedly moved out of the flat she shared with Romeo and has moved back in with her parents.
The source claimed:
Romeo and Mia had a fallout… they aren’t together at the moment.
They were living together, but Mia has apparently moved out of the place they shared and is staying with her parents.
The source also added that Mia and Romeo have briefly split before - back in 2022 - but this time it seemed more serious as she had left their flat:
They’ve split up in the past and got back together again, but this time it feels more serious – Mia moving out obviously points to it being more than just a tiff.
Indeed, as per People, Mia and Romeo split in July 2022 due to distance as Romeo had played for Inter Miami II but the couple were back together just a few months later when Romoe joined Brentford FC. Five months after their split, Romeo shared a photo on Instagram of the two of them hugging.
