Ruth Langsford’s flirty show of support for Eamonn Holmes as he shares new health update

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have what people would describe as a passionate relationship. Indeed, in 2016, Holmes revealed that the two still have a very active sex life after being together since the 1990s.

The two hosted This Morning on Fridays until 2021 when they were replaced by Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary. After that, Holmes joined GB News and Langsford regularly appears on Loose Women.

The couple married in 2010, eight years after they welcomed their only child together. It seems that working together for many years and being in a relationship for even longer hasn’t diminished the flame the two share.

Ruth Langsford interrupts GB News

On 30 August 2023, Ruth Langsford, who was bed ridden, decided that she would treat herself and watch her husband on TV.

However, as she watched, something really bothered her. So, as any other viewer would do, she took it upon herself to call GB News in order to place a viewer’s complaint. But what was the thing that annoyed Ruth so much? Well her husband wasn’t sitting correctly.

Langsford’s call led to the show being interrupted in a funny and relatable moment. At the time, you could see Holmes standing behind his desk as someone was adjusting his chair. Eamonn, amused said:

The reason I'm standing up here, is we've had a viewer complaint. Her name's Ms Ruth Langsford. And she's phoned in to say she doesn't like the position of my seat.

Once his seat was adjusted Holmes checked in with his wife who, had she been displeased, would have probably called back.

Ruth Langsford’s funny show of support

Recently, Eamonn Holmes confessed that he was suffering from very serious health issues. On 3 September, Eamonn Holmes was seen at Wembley Stadium in a wheelchair and the following day he explained that he was in a lot of pain.

Already in 2021, Holmes shared that he was plagued by intense back pain which led him to use a walking stick. In 2022, he was scheduled to undergo surgery after his back issues led to bladder and bowel problems but the operation was cancelled and labelled ‘too complicated.’

However, in September of 2022, he underwent back surgery to try and alleviate his pain. In a twist of fate, Eamonn Holmes fell down the stairs only two weeks after his back surgery. The fall led to Holmes breaking his shoulder and weakening his legs even further.

In September 2023, in a conversation with Tim Franklin, Eamonn Holmes gave news about his discovery. He said:

I can't run, I can't walk, I can't do anything except watch TV and eat

I just got problems last year in my back, which I haven't recovered from. It's not good, it's not a good recipe I have to say.

Now, on 8 September, Holmes took to Instagram to update his fans. He shared a picture of him strapped into a machine. His caption reads:

I look like an 80's Disco dancer 🕺 .... but actually on a rack having my neck and back stretched. Spine decompression 👍

Most comments offer support and well wishes but Ruth Langsford, true to the style of their relationship responded with a flirty comment saying:

Ouch! I like the 80’s vibe though! X

Alittle flirting has never been known to prevent recovery after all… it might even help!
