Nostalgia at its best
MailOnline confirms that the reunion is masterminded by music mogul Simon Fuller – the man who put together the S Club 7 initially. Simon worked on the seven stars and made a band out of them in 1998 after he was sacked as Spice Girls’ manager due to ‘creative differences.’
After failing to get a 25th-anniversary celebration with Spice Girls, Simon put his mind to bring back the S Club 7. A source close to the project claimed:
Simon Fuller saw the value in this, S Club 7 had a huge following of all ages who he thinks will want to go and see them for nostalgia reasons.
Their songs were so upbeat and fun, it is a massive commercial opportunity for them all, particularly Simon.
Simon is believed to have called each member of the band personally to make the comeback possible.
Possible hiccups
There has been no official announcement for the reunion tour yet as the comeback is expected to be announced soon in the coming weeks. The publication claimed that the band is planning a huge summer tour, however, Jo O'Meara’s back injury might spell disaster for a summer tour.
The lead singer underwent a series of operations to remove parts of her slipped disc. The star admitted to having a permanent injury to her right leg and may never get to dance again.
